At first, she struggled in Bollywood when she arrived from the UK five years ago - her Indo-Brit Hindi accent was mocked by the press but she has doggedly lifted herself to the top of her profession with hits like Namastey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome. Most of all, she hit the A-list with her performance in this year's Race and will soon be seen in Singh is Kinng, this summer's predicted smash, and Yuvraaj, where she will star opposite her boyfriend Salman Khan. Modestly, she attributes her success to her fans, ''I don't think it's a matter of where you place yourself. It's a matter of how your fans feel about you and where the industry finds you,- she says, ''At this particular place I think I am lucky to be able to say that I do get offers for a lot of films,''

She's also been asked to cultivate a British accent for the movie. ''I've to get a British accent, and fast. Yes they've asked me to speak in my own voice and in British accent because the movie will be in sync sound. I've to learn four different types of British dialects.''

The film will be shot mainly in Hong Kong and China.

Was it fun working with Christian Bale and Heath Ledger and can you compare the two as actors?
Christian is darker than Heath. I know that sounds kind of weird but Christian pretty much kept to himself. I never really get to work with Christian as Bruce Wayne, but I would just say he is very quietly intense. Heath was very different. Between takes he very much wanted to laugh. I know that people - not you guys (the media) - but out there people are trying to look for a darker story in the Heath story. I know people want to read he was ''contaminated by the Joker role'' and that he couldn't sleep, but I did not see any of that.

Their friends shake their heads disapprovingly. Their minds tell them to escape while the going is good. But no! Oh no! Their hearts are another story altogether.
