Prints reflected the gory fantasies of Hieronymous Bosch, while long, floating gowns traced the soft sweetness of a Botticelli Venus.
Known as the rebel of fashion, McQueen shot to fame with provocative ideas such as low-cut “bumster” trousers, but his later work was dazzling and bewitching rather than shocking. The designer took his own life in February, reportedly inconsolable over the death of his mother earlier last month and with a history of depression. The inquest into his death has resumed.

MELBOURNE INDIA: Grieving parents of a three-year-old Indian boy, who died in mysterious circumstances here, for the first time viewed the body of the toddler at a city morgue today, two days after it was found in a suburban area.

Harpreet Kaur Channa and her husband Harjit Singh Channa were taken to the Coroner’s Court at 11 am local time to see the body of their child Gurshan, Federation of Indian Association of Victoria (FIAV) President, Vasan Srinivas, said.

The couple, who were interrogated yesterday by Victorian police for five hours in connection with the death of the child, were accompanied by Indian consulate officials to the morgue.

They spent an hour with the body of their child.

The couple were taken to the Coroner’s Court from a relative’s home in the Melbourne suburb of Thomastown.

Vasan said that FIAV, along with Indian authorities here, has offered to financially support the family to arrange for the cremation.

“FIAV has extended all financial help to the family to arrange for cremation and also any other possible help needed this time, including refund of the fee of the cookery course which toddler’s mother was pursuing here,” he said.

Meanwhile, homicide detectives continued their probe into the death.

Michael Blosil apparently jumped to his death on Friday Night at a Los Angeles apartment building.  Marie Osmond’s son death has been a shock to the Osmond Family.

Marie Osmond has a total of seven children with music producer Brian Blosil, 5 of which are adopted.

Michael Blosil was Marie Osmonds Son thru adoption.  Marie Osmonds son had been in rehab in 2007 for an unspecified ailment and was rumored to suffer from depression in the past.

Michael Blosil was found dead on the ground below an apartment balcony last light in Los Angeles.

It appears Michael Blosil died of an apparent suicide per the Los Angeles Police Department.

Marie Osmond was rumored to have attempted suicide in 2006 while her publicist insisted it was a reaction to medication.

In late 2009 tabloids pointed to Marie Osmond as a possible plastic surgery patient after photos of Osmond suggested many obvious changes in her appearance.

Muammar Gaddafi has appealed for jihad against Switzerland, long regarded as one of the most peaceful nations in the world.
The Libyan leader’s call for a holy war was, he said, a response to a Swiss referendum in November to ban the construction of minarets on mosques. It is the low point in a relationship that has been deteriorating since 2008 when Col Gaddafi’s son Hannibal was briefly detained in Geneva after allegedly beating his servants. “Any Muslim in any part of the world who works with Switzerland is an apostate, is against (the Prophet) Muhammad, God and the Quran,” Colonel Gaddafi said at a rally broadcast on television.

BAMAKO: 15 people were crushed to death in a stampede at a mosque in Mali’s desert city of Timbuktu, local police said on Friday.

The incident occurred Thursday night during the Muslim festival of Maouloud.

“Every year for Maouloud people come to the grand mosque, but this year construction blocked some of the roads,” said Imam Abdramane ben Effayouti. “People took to narrow alleys, there was jostling, and the tragedy occured.”

Police said that 15 people, including two children, were killed in the incident at the Djingareyber mosque — one of the most recognisable buildings in Timbuktu — and that another 41 people were injured

Actor Joshua ‘Andrew’ Koenig, 41, who was reported missing in the Vancouver area after February 14th.

Koenig’s body was discovered Thursday in Stanley Park in Vancouver by friends and family, who had initiated their own search of an area that Andrew loved.

The Vancouver Police are not giving additional details surrounding the death pending the coroner’s investigation.  Walter and Judith Koenig pleaded for the public and media’s understanding in respecting their privacy at this difficult time, and for greater compassion and understanding of those suffering from depression.

BRUSSELS : At least 25 Dead in Belgian Train Collision, Two commuter trains collided head-on at rush hour in a Brussels suburb Monday, killing as many as 25 people, Belgian rail officials said. Other officials said the death toll was lower.

Belgian National Railways told the VRT radio network that 25 people had died. The suburb’s mayor said the death toll was 20. Lodewijk De Witte, governor of the province of Flemish Brabant, told VRT that 10 people were killed.

The trains collided in light snow just outside of the station at Buizingen around 8:30 a.m. (0730GMT).

Television reports showed that the force of the collision pushed the first car of each train up off the tracks. The cars ended up resting against each other. Photos from the scene showed another car that appeared to have tipped onto its side. Rescuers rushed victims on stretchers along the tracks.

“The most recent information we have is that 20 people died,” town Mayor Dirk Pieters told. “I base this on what the police and firefighters tell me.”

There was no immediate word on the number of injured.

Pieters said the seriously hurt were taken to hospitals and the lightly injured were moved to a Buizingen sports complex.

The crash caused massive damage to overhead power lines. Eurostar reported on its Web site that its high-speed trains had suspended service in and out of Brussels and could remain shut down all day.

The international high-speed network Thalys, which links major cities in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands, temporarily halted all traffic because its trains use the same rails as commuter lines near Hal, said Patricia Baars, a company spokeswoman.

At least four Thalys trains were stopped en route, and the railway operator deployed staffers to stations where they were rerouted to provide assistance to travelers on board, she said.

“No (Thalys) train is moving for the moment … it’s very hard to know today when services will resume,” she said. “It appears this was a very severe accident.”

Thalys has at least 25 round-trip trains operating between Paris and Brussels each day, plus seven linking Brussels and Amsterdam and six from Belgium to Cologne, Germany.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash.

It was the most serious Belgian train crash since March 28, 2001, when eight people died when a crowded train plowed into an empty train driving on the wrong tracks.

Nodar Kumaritashvili’s death took place on the Whistler track at the Vancouver winter games. He was a very experienced luger, and was hoping to make his first Olympic appearance.

New coverage has indicated that Kumaritashvili told his father that he was “scared” of the track. His dad told him to put his feet down to slow himself if he was scared.

His father says his son is brave, and started the track once he finished.

The death has caused a lot of controversy. Olympic officials have claimed that the death was due to “human error”, although the track has been criticized as too fast. Recommended speeds are typically 85 mph or less, but the Whistler track has clocked speeds of 96 mph.

The luge competition will go on, but people are still outraged over the death. This young bright athlete died well before his time.

Jay Novacek Wife, found dead at her mother’s home Yesterday morning. Jay Novacek the former Cowboys player’s wife LeAnne Novacek was 45 years old at the time of her death according to Tarrant County medical examiner office’s spokesperson.

Sally Ellerston the spokeswoman for Texas police department said, fire and police department officers responded to an emergency call at 08:35 A.M at Burleson regarding a possible suicide. Furthermore she said, the police officers found the dead body of LeAnne Novacek in the bedroom of the house.

Reportedly Jay Novacek’s wife was staying with her mother at her residence, where she was found dead.

According to recent reports police called the Tarranct County Corner office victim’s assistance coordinator and other officials at the crime scene for further investigations. It has been reported that an autopsy will be performed today on Tuesday to determine the cause of the death, while police investigations are ongoing.

Police have said that, the apparent cause of the death is a
self-inflicted gunshot, but nothing is clear at this point until autopsy and other reports confirm the death cause.
