Sally Struthers, Sally Ann Struthers (born July 28, 1948) is an American actress and spokeswoman, known for her roles in sitcoms  and television, particularly that of Gloria Bunker Stivic, the daughter of Archie and Edith Bunker (played by Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton respectively) on All in the Family, for which she won two Emmy awards. She is also known for playing Babette on Gilmore Girls.

MUMBAI INDIA: Salman is always looking out for his family members. After starring in his brother Arbaaz Khan’s production Dabang, Salman will next be working on brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s Hindi version of the Malayalam super hit Bodyguard.

The buzz in the trade is that Boney had bought the rights of Bodyguard and wanted Prabhudebva (who directed the runaway hit Wanted not too long ago) to direct the Hindi version, but Salman asked him to hand over the rights to Atul Agnihotri. Siddique, who had directed the original in Malayalam, will also direct the Hindi version.

A source revealed, “Boney did not hesitate to give up remaking Bodyguard. He loves Salman too much and considers the actor’s wish as his command.”

Boney admitted that he initially wanted to remake Bodyguard in Hindi but he is not upset. He said, “It’s fine if Atul will make it with Siddique. Salman was keen that Atul should make it and I have no issues whatsoever. I have not done anything great. I was simply on the verge of buying the rights of Bodyguard. Salman is family to me. I love fulfilling all his wishes and will always continue to do so.”

Atul confirmed that he is making the Hindi version of Bodyguard with Salman. “I am quickly going to finalise the heroine and most of the things will be in place by end of next week. However, I am not aware that Boney too was interested in making the same film. Salman is very happy that I am producing it. Siddique will direct the film,” said Atul.

“It is really difficult to choose a life partner through a public poll. I thought of only getting engaged with Elesh instead of marrying him so that I could get more time to decide. But as time passed, I started feeling that he was not the right person for me. He just wanted to marry me because he wanted be part of my glamorous life. Things got so bad that now I really hate him,” clarifies Rakhi.

A Japan-born Giant Panda left Japan on Monday to head to China for breeding.
The four-year-old male panda, whose name is ‘Kohin’ in Japanese will be moved to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Born in August 2005, Kohin was raised at Adventure World in Shirahama, central Japan. Ahead of his departure, visitors gathered to say good bye and wish him a safe trip to China.
Kohin is the fourth Japan-born panda to return to China from Adventure World which is well-known in Japan for its success in breeding pandas. There are six more pandas at Adventure World. According to Chinese media, the panda will remain in quarantine for a month before being shown to the public. The gift of pandas, a popular attraction at zoos around the world, is often used by China as a diplomatic tool but also as a way to expand the breeding programme beyond its borders. Scientists believe about 1,590 giant pandas live in the wild in China.

Sons of Tucson is an upcoming comedy television series featuring Natalie Martinez, Matthew Levy, Frank Dolce, Benjamin Stockham, and starring Tyler Labine. As part of the Fox network upfront presentation, Sons of Tucson was announced as a midseason show to air on Sunday nights at 8:30PM Eastern/7:30PM Central in between animated hits, The Simpsons and Family Guy although it was changed to 9:30 ET/PT time after Family Guy halting American Dad. The show will premiere Sunday, March 14 at 9:30/8:30c.

Former Malcolm in the Middle star Justin Berfield will be an executive producer of the series. Greg Bratman and Tommy Dewey (DewMan Productions) created the show and will be writers and supervising producers for the series. The duo met at Princeton and have performed improv and two-man shows in New York and LA before turning to television.

Mario Lopez Girlfriend, Mario Lopez announced that he is going to be a father for the first time. He said his girlfriend, Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza, is pregnant and the baby is due this fall.

“Courtney and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve waited my whole life to be a dad this is a true blessing. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with my family and my family at ‘Extra’”, Lopez told People.
“I’m really excited. I’m happy. I can’t wait to be a dad. I grew up in a large family. I’m fired up! I don’t know what we’re having. I’m going to wait to see [the baby's gender] so it will be a surprise”, he also declared for People.

MUMBAI INDIA: Everyone knows that Shahid Kapoor is a big star today and charges several crore for a film or endorsement.

However, few people are aware of his extra humble beginnings – he once stayed in a tenement in Andheri’s MHADA colony. Last week Shahid visited a small studio in the same locality and it was quite literally a walk down memory lane for him.

Shahid’s close companion Mamu, who has know his family for decades, was accompanying him when Shahid reached the area. He informed all of the actor’s old friends who live nearby, and they gathered at the studio to meet Shahid. Needless to say, it was an emotional moment for Shahid as well as Mamu.

Said Mamu, “I have known the family and been with them for over 30 years. There was a time when things were very bad and we stayed in the tenement for a brief period in 2000 and 2001 because we had no option. Shahid was learning dance from Shiamak Davar and the financial situation was quite dire. All this was before Shahid got Ishq Vishk and became a star.

Last week when we had gone there and Shahid was inside the studio, a couple of Shahid’s old friends came to know and told me they were keen to meet him, but they weren’t sure if he would be willing to meet them. I said of course he would, and Shahid came out to meet them.”

By this time, a huge crowd had gathered outside and everyone started singing Dhan te nan. Shahid got his pictures clicked with them and chatted with some of his old neighbours.

An emotional Mamu added, “I remember those times – during the rainy season, the roof leaked and I would constantly clean up to keep the place dry so the kids didn’t fall ill. I told Shahid that he has come a long way, ‘bachcha bada ho gaya hai’. When he lived here, no one gave him a second look. Now when we have left, the neighbourhood kids were running after his car. I am very happy for him.”

Sarah Rogers Missing, Police hope the public can help provide information on the whereabouts of a local woman who has been missing since Dec. 13.

Sarah Rogers, 29, was last seen in town on Dec. 13, according to police officer Toby Perry.

Her family contacted police on that date and expressed concerns about her whereabouts. There is no indication she is in any immediate danger, but Perry said police hope the public can assist in making sure Rogers is OK.

“We have no idea where she is,” Perry said. He said police have followed some leads and her vehicle was found in Clinton, Maine, near Waterville. Her car had gone off the road on Interstate 95 and Perry said there were tire tracks at the scene indicating she may have gotten into another vehicle that headed south on I-95.

He stressed that, as a 29-year-old, Rogers has no obligation to keep her family abreast of her whereabouts. Family and police simply want to make sure she is safe, he said, adding Rogers is welcome to call police herself to confirm her condition.

Perry could not say what the circumstances were leading up to her disappearance.

Rogers is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 110 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Rahul, Dimpy ‘married forever, Rahul Mahajan who married Dimpy Ganguly, the contestant who introduced herself to him by saying, “I’m Dimpy from Kolkata. By the way I hate noodles and can’t cook”. The couple speaks to TOI about their marriage not being a time-bound agreement and the age difference not that serious an issue .

The excitement is not just because it is Mahajan who tied the knot, but also because the reality-show-can-find-the-right-match model has proved right. Something the viewers were neither expecting nor willing to accept, particularly after the Rakhi-Elesh fiasco. While the critics continue to speculate the span of this marriage, Rahul says he knows the significance this bond carries, for him at least.

“Whatever I’ve done has always been under the media glare, irrespective of me wanting it or not. But I’m glad that I haven’t gone back on the promise (of getting married) I had made to my mom and the country. Mom was aware of Dimpy as my choice and supported my decision. She only wants to see us happy. I feel blessed to have found my soulmate in Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega – Swayamvar Season 2. Bhagwan ke ghar dair hai, andhaer nahin. For Dimpy’s father to have told her to take care of me, considering all that I have gone through in life, was quite touching.”

Contrary to the cynics’ opinion, Rahul tells us there is no time limit to this relationship. “I will stay married to Dimpy till the end of my life. Our marriage will get registered tomorrow in Bandra, Mumbai.” Even though Rahul’s statement might appear like a strong message meant for Rakhi and Elesh who ended up making a mockery of the reality show, he denies any such intention. “Going by the family that I belong to and the values that have been instilled in Dimpy and me, it is not right to break the promise we both have made.”
Having witnessed several hardships on the personal front in the past, Rahul believes this wedding is the first step to a much-sought after blissful life. “This is like second birth to me. I believe positive things have begun to happen in my life and I’m hopeful that it will continue.” And if you think Dimpy alone was experiencing the wedding jitters, you’re wrong. For, the groom tells us that he wasn’t all that comfortable either. “Mera dimaag blank tha. I had no clue about what I was supposed to say. It was pretty difficult for me. Par jaise hi Dimpy ko dekha speech apne aap mooh se nikalti gayi. All this while, only girls had proposed to me. But it felt great when I proposed to Dimpy on national TV. Yeh sammaan ek ladki ko milna bahut zaroori hai. Yeh sammaan mein apni biwi ko doon isse bhadkar koi aur cheez nahin thi. It was a romantic moment that I will narrate to my kids and grand kids. They obviously need to know how I met and married Dimpy.
