British Airways

Flown with British Airways recently? Your credit card details could be in the hands of criminals, according to The Daily Mirror. The newspaper claims anyone who booked a BA flight via their German telesales centre in the last year is at risk, and that many victims had their details accessed immediately after booking a flight. A police raid on Flyline, British Airways’ booking centre in Bremen which employs 300 staff has “unearthed significant fraudulent activity”. A team leader there has been arrested and dismissed by BA, and a second German colleague has been suspended.
It’s alleged that lists of hundreds of BA passengers’ credit card details were found in the desks of staff – one person is said to have already confessed to using the details for cloning fake cards. According to The Mirror, there is also evidence of fraud involving refunds, re-issuing tickets and frequent flyer accounts. A BA spokesman told the paper last night: “This is subject to a current German police investigation so it would be inappropriate to comment.”
The news has only broken in the past hour – we’ve spoke to British Airways this morning, and they’ve promised to update us shortly on what to do if you’re concerned your details may have been stolen.

PM Gilani Formally Hands Over JF-17 to PAF

PM Gilani Formally Hands Over JF-17 to PAFISLAMABAD, Pakistan News: PM Gilani Formally Hands Over JF-17 to PAF, First JF-17 Thunder aircraft has been handed over to Pakistan Air Force.. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani says JF-17 Thunder is an important achievement towards self-sufficiency.
Air Chief Marshal says that 40 aircrafts will be built in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. Talking to media after a ceremony of handing over JF-17 Thunder to Pakistan Air Force, the Prime Minister said that all the governments prolonged their tenures in the name of accountability since 1988
The PM maintained that media personnel talked about 34 politician beneficiaries of the NRO and ignored others in the list. “General Musharraf used these cases to prolong his tenure,” the PM told. Addressing the ceremony, Gilani mentioned PAF’s role in recent war against militancy. JF-17 Thunder is an important achievement towards self-sufficiency, he added.

The JF-17 Thunder a new generation, light-weight, all weather, day/night multi-role fighter aircraft with glass cockpit, hands-on-throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) controls and efficient man-machine interface will ensure a minimal pilot workload. The maximum speed of Mach 1.6 and a high thrust-to-weight ratio will enable it to perform well in an air defence role. An ability to carry short – as well as long-range air-to-air missiles, lends the aircraft a first shot capability of conventional as well as non-conventional arsenal.
In the surface attack role, a variety of weapons – conventional as well as precision-guided, a sophisticated avionics suite along with accurate weapon delivery system, ensure higher mission success rate. An effective ECM suite will greatly enhance survivability of the platform. Its anticipated air-to-air refueling capability will provide the JF-17 with more loiter time to safeguard the frontiers and the ability to deliver the required punch at distance. It will replace the ageing fleets of A-5s, F-7Ps and the Mirages in the PAF inventory thus fulfilling a multi-role task. In addition to that the PAC would also be able to export its surplus production in the days to come as the aircraft has received acclaims from the user like PAF.

Meet The Press updates

Meet The Press, A week after George Stephanopoulos‘ much-touted ratings victory over Meet the Press(and no, there wasn’t tennis on NBC; just a weak lineup of guests), the David Gregory-moderated show is back on top.

“Meet the Press” had 2.99 million viewers last Sunday versus 2.68 million for ABC’s “This Week,” according to Nielsen Media Research.

However, the Stephanopoulos show edged out Gregory’s program in the crucial 25- to 54-year-old viewer demographic.

On “Meet the Press,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Newark, N.J., Mayor Cory Booker shot holes into national gun laws.

Meanwhile, Stephanopoulos interviewed everyone’s favorite shouting Democrat, Howard Dean, as well as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The CBS show, “Face the Nation,” is still hanging in there in the ratings race. Moderator Bob Schieffer takes home another bronze medal with 2.39 million viewers. “Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace” attracted half that.

We can’t help but wonder what fuels the ratings fluctuations. As we noted a couple of weeks ago, high-profile guests don’t seem to make a difference. Does it just depend on what channel you had left on the TV from Saturday night?

Roy Jones Jr vs Jeff Lacy Video

Roy Jones Jr vs Jeff Lacy VideoRoy Jones Jr vs Jeff Lacy Video,Roy Jones jr vs Jeff Lacy results, video. Despite his defeat at the hands of a superior fighter Roy Jones, Jeff Lacy showed his magnanimity and his will power when he congratulated Roy Jones whole heartedly.

So despite losing the fight, he didn’t look beaten or disheartened. Here was a fighter who wins fights and lose fights too with the same magnanimity.

Despite losing the battle, he seems to have many a hearts. There is no doubt about it.

But despite all his magnanimity it was Roy Jones Jr who prevailed over his opponent and never allowed him to take the fight in his hands. He outclassed him totally tonight. There is no denying the fact.

Roy Jones Jr doesn’t look as old as forty one years. His punches are powerful and today Jeff Lacy must have realized that why he has dominated the game for so long.

An AP report says, “Jones (54-5, 39 KOs) used a left hook to cut Lacy’s right eye in the third round, and both of Lacy’s eyes were swelling by the seventh. Lacy didn’t answer the bell for the 11th round and the referee stopped the bout…Jones joked when asked when he thought the bout was in his hands….”When they gave me the gloves,” Jones said. “My hands are still as fast as ever. I’ve got the quickest speed in the game.”

Another report says, “It was early in the fight when Roy started to impose his will, and he didn’t look back. Each round was pretty much the same thing, Roy beating Lacy to the punch, and Lacy coming forward eating leather. Roy Jones still has very fast hands, and although he had the perfect opponent in front of him, he still showed signs of complete greatness.”

Ashley Greene Pictres

ashley greene photos Ashley Greene!  pictures of the Twilight starlet hit the ‘net this morning, at around the same time as photos of her making out with Chace Crawford in a limo hit the web. Everything’s coming up Ashley Greene today! We may have a full-blown A-lister on our hands soon if she keeps up at this pace. I mean, it sure helps to have an international blockbuster under your belt, but nothing says “uber-famous” like having what’s under your belt go international.

Regarding Chace, a friend of the twosome says:

“Ashley and Chace have known each other for a while.ashley greene photos They used to hook up actually back when he lived in L.A. It was never anything too serious. It was before either of them were famous. They stayed good friends.”
