Academy Award Nominations 2010, Tuesday morning the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will announce the nominees for the 82nd annual Academy Awards. The nominations will be announced starting at 5:30am PST on the west coast (8:38 a.m. EST) with Anne Hathaway and Academy President Tom Sherak announcing all the nominees.

One major difference this year will be the addition of five more contenders for the Best Picture award. Instead of the usual five nominees, this year the Academy has decided to nominate ten deserving films. This is the first time since 1943.

Co-hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, the 82nd Academy Awards will take place on Sunday 7 March.
