RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has terming the attack on mosque located in West Bank as Jewish terrorism, has said that it is a bid to cease chances of reopening of dialogue between Palestine-Israel.
Jewish settlers attacked on a West Bank mosque where fire was set to a library and hate messages were sprayed on the building, Palestinian security sources said on Friday.
Clashes erupted as village residents hurled stones at Israeli troops sent to investigate the overnight incident at the mosque in Kfar Yasuf village. The security forces responded with teargas, local officials said.
The northern West Bank area is home to some of the most hardline Israeli settlers who advocate a “price tag” policy under which they target Palestinians in retaliation for any Israeli government measure they see as threatening Jewish settlements. One of the slogans sprayed on the wall read, “Get ready to pay the price,” Israeli public radio said. Another read, “We will burn you all.”
This act of violence was seen as an attempt to hinder peace dialogue in the region. “Europe and International World should get Palestinian people assurance from Israel of ending acts of violence to restart dialogue process in the region.”
Israel should also immediately halt construction of Jewish settlements in order to respect international laws, he added.

West Indies are down and out in the first Test at Gabba with a score of 134 for 5 at the close of Day 2 in reply to Australia’s 480 for 8 declared. The tourists are facing a huge deficit of 346 and are on course of following on! They have been revived slightly though through an unbroken 6th wicket stand of 38 between no.3 Travis Dowlin (40*) and wicket keeper Denesh Ramdin (18*).
Australia added about 160 runs on the second day before declaring their innings just before Tea. Marcus North, the overnight batsman went onto score 79 while Nathan Hauritz scored a maiden fifty. Windies started in a rapid manner smashing 41 on the board in the six overs before Tea but after the break lost their way totally. Hilfenhaus got rid of a dangerous Gayle on 31 which began a batting collapse. The other pacers followed him and Windies found themselves at 96 for 5 inside 30 overs.
The Australian bowlers got good pace off the wicket which caused the downfall of the West Indian batsman. Chanderpaul was one of them as an inswinger from Siddle skidded through to strike the pad in a shuffle across the stumps.
