In the 58th minute, he finally found the mark with a trademark finish that left goalie Sreejesh with no answer. Abbas’ goal was a much-needed consolation for a Pakistani team that lacked spark in such a needle game.

Aguilera will be seen in Burlesque that features her as a small-town girl who moves to Los Angeles to become a star and ends up working in a burlesque club.

Pop singer Cher too is acting in the film and Aguilera revealed that she said yes to the role because she idolises the veteran pop star.

Jyoti Basu Dead, Veteran politician and 95 year old Marxist leader is dead. The former chief minister of Bengal was hospitalized with pneumonia and then put on a ventilator following acute breathing problems.

He was admitted last Friday and though his condition improved for some time, his health parameters turned awry from Tuesday and he had to be put on life support.

Jyoti Basu served as the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the Left Front government from June 21, 1977 to November 6, 2000.In the year 1996, he was all set to be the consensus leader of the United Front for the post of the prime minister of India. However, it did not work out due to the CPI(M) decision of not participating in the government.

Jyoti Basu resigned from the Chief Minister’s post of West Bengal in 2000, citing health reasons and was succeeded by fellow CPI(M) politician Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. Jyoti Basu hold the record for being the longest serving chief minister in the Indian political history.

Lynndie England, Public Face of the Abu Ghraib scandal, Lynndie England’s lecture cancelled at Library of Congress on Friday as staff’s safety was on the stake, after threats. Lynndie England was to discuss her biography as part of Veteran’s Forum on Capitol Hill.

It was David Moor, also a War Veteran (Vietnam) who had organized the event and invited the former Army Reservist Lynndie England. The German Acquisitions Specialist at the Library of Congress David Moor informed the library’s Inspector General as well as police that he received countless threat, violence and protest e-mails against the lecture. It is reported that members of the Library of Congress Professional Association, the employee group was informed by an e-mail from President Angela Kinney that said the lecture was cancelled on account of staff safety concerns. Overall, the decision of cancellation of the lecture was a good decision, most of the members said.

The book under review was by an author namely Gary S.
