Wendi Richter

Wendi Richter, Here we have another member of WWE Hall of Fame family. Tonight, on Raw, WWE announced that Wendi Ritcher will be headed into the Hall of Fame as a member of the class 2010.da983ba4b6ichter1 Wendi Richter She will be inducted by fellow Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper before start of Wrestlemania XXVI at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. Wrestlemania XXVI is scheduled to start on 27th March 2010. Before Wendi Ritcher, TedDiBiase & Antonio Inoki have also been announced as the members of 2010 class.

For two times, she has been Women’s Champion. She is a legend and fans know her for her fights with Fabulous Moolah. Her pair with Cyndi Lauper was very famous. On 27th March at Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, she will appear on WWE for the first time since 1985. In 1985, she left WWE after losing her title to the Fabulous Moolah under shady circumstances. She was unhappy with the results and so, she left arena and did not contact with WWE after that. So, hopefully, she is going to appear again in the ring of WWE at the Hall of Fame ceremony.

She is the 4th women ever to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and that’s a big accomplishment. She won her first Women’s title in 1984 when she defeated “Fabulous Moolah” at the “The Brawl to End It All”. In 1985, she lost her title to Leilani Kai but soon regain it as well at the very first WrestleMania on 31st March, 1985.

Wendi Richter Women’s Title Win Came On July 23 1984First Women’s title win came on July 23, 1984, where she defeated The Fabulous Moolah at the historic “The Brawl to End It All” that aired on MTV. The ladies drew huge ratings, becoming the most-watched program in the history of MTV. This was a huge part of the “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection.” Wendi would later lose the title to Leilani Kai on February 18, 1985, and later regain it at the very first WrestleMania on March 31, 1985 in New York City. Her induction is even more historic due to the fact that she left the WWE on bad terms. On November 25, 1985, she lost the Women’s title to The Spider Lady (Fabulous Moolah), which is considered the “The Original Screwjob,” in which Vince McMahon and Wendi were in contractual dispute. The World Wrestling Council has a Women’s Championship that has been contested since May of 1987.

John Paul Jones Arena

John Paul Jones Arena, or JPJ, opened for the 2006–2007 NCAA Division I basketball season and is located at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.John Paul Jones Arena It has seating for 14,593 fans, nearly twice the capacity of 8,457 at Virginia’s previous facility, University Hall. The design features pergolas on the outside to tie in the design with Scott Stadium, UVa’s football facility. This style is known as Jeffersonian architecture, reminiscent of the many buildings designed by Thomas Jefferson on UVa’s grounds and nearby.

The arena is named in honor of the father of Paul Tudor Jones II, who donated $35 million for the construction of the arena. He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University in 1976. His father, John Paul “Jack” Jones, is a 1948 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

The arena plays host to not only basketball games, but a wide variety of concerts, performances, and other events; for example, its opening season in 2006 includes events such as the Dave Matthews Band, James Taylor, Brad Paisley, Eric Clapton, The Dead, Cirque du Soleil, Larry the Cable Guy, The Wiggles, Disney on Ice and WWE Monday Night Raw. Other shows held in 2007, include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gnarls Barkley, Blue Man Group, Rascal Flatts, Billy Joel, Justin Timberlake, Maroon5, The Police, High School Musical and Rod Stewart. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band made a stop at the venue on April 30, 2008, in support of Springsteen’s 2007 album Magic, as well as The Eagles who made a stop here on May 21, 2008, to promote their 2007 album Long Road Out of Eden, their first studio album in 28 years. It will also be the host to Metallica on October 17, 2009 who are supporting their critically acclaimed 2008 album Death Magnetic. In addition to this, the arena has office space for SMG staff, the UVa athletics media relations department, video services and dining services. It also features coaches’ offices, practice facilities and an extensive sports medicine facility for men’s and women’s basketball teams.

The arena’s first event was Cirque du Soleil’s Delirium on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, but the official Grand Opening event was a two-night tour-ending stand by Charlottesville natives Dave Matthews Band, September 22–23, 2006. An “open house” event for the local community was conducted on July 22, 2006.

In February 2007, the arena was awarded the title of “Best New Major Concert Venue” at Pollstar’s 18th Annual Concert Industry Awards.

Shaq VS The Big Show, WWE RawShaq VS Big Show, WWE Raw. Yes, this actually happened. Shaq guest hosted WWE’s Monday Night RAW last night. You knew he was going to get in the ring. I wish he would have choke slammed The Big Show. I kept waiting for it. It would have been EPIC!

Turn your volume down a tad. It is just a bunch of random screaming.
