WANA, Pakistan News: Suspected US missiles killed at least 15 alleged militants in an area at the border of South and North Waziristan in the wee hours of Thursday.
Officials say the missiles struck Wisalkot area of the tribal region early Thursday. Four missiles landed at 7 a.m. in a sprawling compound that has been used as a religious school in the past and currently as a training camp of militants.
The identities of the dead were not immediately known.
The attack is the eighth such missile strike in the region bordering Afghanistan in two weeks.
The U.S. has dramatically escalated its use of missile strikes in Pakistan since the start of the year.
Hundreds of people, many of them civilians, have been killed in drone attacks since mid-2008. Top Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud was among them.
